Hi Friends,
Well, I haven't blogged in awhile because we never take our camera anywhere. This week we went to one of the best and most beautifully decorated Christmas parties that I think I have ever been to.(7 Christmas trees, decorations everywhere, a chef turning out every amazing entree and cake and pie you could dream of and me avoiding small talk like the plague) Adam and I put on our Christmas best and were shining bright, but our camera was sitting at home in our dark house. But it was so fun. One of our pastor's wives hosted it at their home. She is a party queen and so much fun. You can't really describe Beth. It was a good time. Wish I had pics. Everyone really dressed up and I love a good party where you feel free to put on your best. Anywho, tons of other things have been happening but since I don't have pictures I will spare you, but it has been a roller coaster. We have some good things going on as well as the ongoing struggle of living out a marriage that seeks to glorify the Lord. Adam and I are daily trying to have a biblical worldview...sounds easy enough...NO WAY!!! It changes EVERYTHING!!! It's so challenging to no longer cling to the world but rather be conformed into the image of Christ and head down the narrow path. Its not legalism, but rather a pure excavation of the heart. I feel every scrape. The 4 verses that we are looking at in our marriage right now are Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Colossians 2:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ." 2nd Corinthians 10:5-6 "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete." And finally, Ephesians "...so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes." If you get a chance, read through those this week and see what they may be saying to your heart and life. Hold your heart and life up to them and be honest about what you hear.
Well I have added some older pics just so I can get them off the camera:) Here is what we have been up to. (This is so random and in no way all that we have been up to) We went to see the Grizzlies play the Houston Rockets awhile ago. The Grizzlies were the worst team in the league last year and I am not sure that they are any better this year so I really went to see Tracy McGrady own them, BUT the Grizzlies TOTALLY won! (But not before T Mac did a freaking 180 dunk on Rudy Gay, I almost jumped onto the court) Adam just wanted to see Yao Ming.
The only man...ahem... black man at that... I have ever seen sporting a Yao jersey...ahem...over a leather coat...
Adam forced me to take like 20 pictures of Yao, but I just posted the most clear picture. Sorry babe. But look how close we were! That's no zoom baby!
Adam and I at the game...Why do you make that face Sweet?
I really can't believe they lost, but T Mac can't beat whole teams by himself HOUSTON!
Adam and I started our Thanksgiving tradition. We made a meal together for brunch/lunch and once we were done eating we snuggled on the couch while my sweetie taught me some things about the life of John the Baptist that we want seen in our own lives and marriage and then I sang over us and we worshipped on the couch just the 2 of us.
Here is our "fat free" brunch of fiesta spoon bread, cheese grits, red eye maple seared ham, REAL bacon:) and our version of chard. It was good to our souls!!!!!!!!!
We ran the St. Jude 5k. Adam refuses to run long distances but he found a good cause and signed us up and 2 days later I was dying on a 3 mile run asking the Lord to twist my ankle in a pothole, but it was "fun." Danny and Ben ran with us too. Its time for me to workout. I kept thinking "3 miles is NOTHING! I have ran a half marathon!" But that was totally like 2 years ago and I haven't ran an inch in at least 9 months. Even though he later revealed that he thought it was payback for my arrogance he stayed by my side the whole way:) ahhh LOVE.
What's a race in Memphis without a fake Elvis?
Even more random...Heather and Jaxon came over so that Adam could cut fabric for a head wrap for her and teach her to tie it. (My husband is a different species) And I just thought they looked funny:)
Its supposed to look like this but smaller...
Lessons...(note: Heather covered up half of her face:) )
Jaxon rolling on the floor
And the last pic I have is just Adam and I chilling last week at the Crichton Student Development Christmas party. That was fun:) 4 different kinds of chili, ice cream cake, cookies, Nintendo Wii and a bible trivia face off between Adam and Danny. It was a fun night.
Okay, I think that's it. Thanks for being patient.
Til Later,

I have alot to say:
1. great looking "fat free" brunch. I need you to make me some pork chops.
2. I have ALWAYS wanted to know how to tie a scarf. I really need adam to teach me when ya'll are in town.
3. COME TO TEXAS NOWWWW
adam will NEVER, repeat NEVER, be allowed to wear ANYTHING over his leather jacket again. NEVER. it's against every fashion rule ever made or ever will be made. for eternity. wait...yep, i just checked with God. he backed me up. NEVER. hear that, adam? from the Lord Most High. NEVER.
I'm glad you finally updated with pictures. But, it seems as if you need to carry your camera in your purse AT ALL TIMES so we can have more. :)
