Well, since last weekend was Red Rev and we had friends and family in town, we thought we would go low key this weekend, but it was pretty fun. Friday night Shannon and Jeremy came over to play Scrabble. I am not really sure if they actually came over to play Scrabble, but since Danny bought Adam the Onyx Edition of Scrabble we now have to force everyone that comes into our home to play. FYI, that makes the 3rd Scrabble game in our 6 month marriage that we now own...I guess if you find something you like, go for it. So we played Scrabble while at the same time, almost ending our friendships. After the real game of Scrabble Jeremy and Adam began making up games with the tiles and fought about how the other person's game didnt make any sense etc. Shannon and I tried to calm them down but found ourselves in a fight of our own. Shannon is from Minnesota and has only been in Memphis a few months and accused me of hating all of her winter sweaters especially the red one with the white snowflake. Apparently that sweater was like $170 from J Crew and she refused to allow me to lump it in with other seasonal sweaters. Out of nowhere she screamed "That does not mean that I am going to end up wearing Mom Jeans!!" I knew immediately that this was about my sharing HBA (Heart Butt Association) with her and the fear that rises up in any woman who fits any HBA description. I have tried my best to reassure her that some of her sweaters were fine and that as a member of the HBA I would warn her when she was on thin ice. After that Adam shaved Jeremy's golden locks out of nowhere. That was a first for him. Shannon cut her hair awhile ago so maybe he wanted a change too.
A little Scrabble
Jeremy a little too excited about winning and his future cut

Once the Iwaszkoweics (tough I know) left, Adam and I were really tired and debated our early morning date. We wanted to make a crock pot breakfast and head to the lake early for my first fishing experience. We were so tired we almost ditched the whole idea (or maybe that was me) but instead we just decided to ditch the breakfast.
A tired Adam looking up crock pot recipes before we ditched the idea
The next morning we (I) got up a little late but we headed out to buy fishing poles and to fish. I have to admit even though we were out there for like 4 hours or so and didnt catch a single fish, I think I could actually enjoy it if I had the hang of it. But as a disclaimer we spent most of our time scouting out a place and not much time fishing. After we gave up on the lake we chose that morning, we went to "Catch Em Lake" or as Adam called it "Catch Not a Damn Thing Lake" and tried to fish there. LUCKILY we didnt catch anything because apparently we parked in the wrong spot and went in FOR FREE!! We didnt even know we stole lake time until we were leaving. We met a man who caught 6 cat fish and was headed to pay for them. He was nice and gave us some fishing tools for the future. We never got his name, but we liked him.

The man w all the fish and who informed us we broke a law
That night we had a pretty funny dinner. Adam made pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans and Vanja brought over macaroni and cheese and we had a good time talking about our favorite old school movies and other things that I can't share. Ashley, Ben, Vanja, BJ, Darragh, LeCrae, Rick, Danny, and babies Love, David and Jaxon all showed up for the fun.
Does Ashley look like her baby is due in 4 days?

Darragh, LeCrae and David
Vanja (also due in a few days)and BJ
One of the quieter times of the night...Ben said we were so loud at one point he just started yelling wordless noises and no one noticed
Sunday after church we went to watch Jeremy coach the last Crichton soccer game of the season.
One of our favorite kids, Isaac, was there. He is from the Sudan but he, his mom and four siblings moved to Memphis. He tried to take Adam down for about 10 minutes but couldnt even move him. Once he gave up Adam showed him our secret handshake. He loved it:) Then we headed to Memphis Pizza Cafe and ended our night at Ben and Ashley's new home with a few other friends (mostly who were at our house Friday night) to play games and eat fajitas. Love these people...FUN TIMES!
