No Summer, This is the Longest Post Eveeerrrrrr!!!

Okay, well today I am blogged out. Now that I have a meaningless job I literally look on every kind of blog that you can imagine. I won't sell myself out and name them, but it can be pretty fun. I learned in Downline last night that you should always "bloom where you are planted" and boy did I agree with that! If we stay in Memphis or head back to Dallas or even move to Detroit (which was rated this week as the most violent city in America) you better believe I will continue to disciple girls and share the gospel. But my job seriously seems meaningless and I am wondering how to "bloom" here. I know that God can use me, but the bottom line is NOBODY ever walks by my desk, and the only way you can talk to people is if they walk by... so that is how I justify wasting my life away online. Which I actually don't mind so much:) Trust me, I try my hardest to be productive. I read scriptures at work, memorize verses, read Downline material, look up recipes, pay my bills, on down to googling the joke of the day, but still I have plenty of time to read that the new Balenciaga shoe is $4,175 and looks like Lego's to me.

(I tried not to like them, but B's combo is great...she rocked them)

It also gives me time to contemplate on things such as "Why did Michael Vick turn himself in to begin serving his sentence right before Thanksgiving, you know that jail lunch is going to be wack...and...Why does this brother feel the need to have a box of 64 Crayons around his neck?

Sean Kingston aka A Hot Mess (Summer's new favorite phrase)

Anyway, bottom line, I am all blogged out, but I feel that since I took pictures of random things that I should put them up. I won't be as elaborate and long winded as I normally am, but here is what we did LAST weekend (I am always so behind)

Adam took me to Texas De Brazil...which I NEVER thought he would do because he has said in the past that I really don't eat enough to go and spend that kind of money. But I did pretty good! Usually mass amounts of meat don't fall under the category of "my kinda thing," but for some reason I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the salad bar and meat were so good! I had a craving to go back like 2 days later but I didn't have and extra $100 lying around. We got one of the meals free because of Adam's birthday, so that was good...and lets be honest, why we went.

Me eating meat...Adam really is too tall to take pictures...he has to hold it at his chest which always either 1. cuts off people's heads or 2. makes women think he is aiming at their breasts. (inappropriate but true)

Overwhelming...I officially don't like lamb...

We asked a guy to take a picture of us, but I think he thought we said, "Hey, will you just randomly start snapping pictures when we aren't ready?" But we were grateful;)

That's better, except that my "hanger loop" is making a run for it

Saturday we cooked dinner and went to the hospital to check in on Vanja, BJ and baby Jonathan. I don't have any pictures because, I'm not sure, but I don't think Vanja was feeling like a Cover Girl after having her baby without an epidural. Trooper. But they have a fat and healthy little baby:) Can't wait to see him tonight! Maybe I will take pictures then...

Sunday I had girls from Crichton over for something called "Sisterhood." It's for believers and non believers. Its something that I am not sure how to explain yet, but right now it is just a hang out time with food and questions. These two groups of girls have certain views of each other and normally don't hang out, so this is a time for everyone to get together. We answered questions like, "What is something that you lied about when you were younger that your parents never found out about," or "What was you most romantic date," etc. It just gave us ideas about where we were, where we came from and where we are now. I decided to step out on a ledge and put myself out there when I answered some of the questions to show the girls that I know are struggling that I am not some perfect girl and led a very different life before I was Mrs. AT. It was actually quite funny...for a second some of those girls COMPLETELY forgot that I was Mrs. AT (aka campus Spiritual Life Director) and told some stories that made me blush...but each time we meet the plan is to go deeper and deeper until we find ourselves knee deep in the gospel asking very black and white, now or never questions. You can pray for this time which is mainly student led (I just facilitate) but alot of these girls don't know Christ, don't trust the Christian girls and are living some pretty intense lives.

Lindsay and Quita messing up my newly cleaned kitchen...I disciple Lindsay and she just started discipling Quita! A little Downline already!

Me and Brittany...discussing the topic at hand

Me and Tandria...tough shell, soft heart...or as she calls herself "street, but sweet"

Prashonda and Brittany

The Girls...Terese in the green started Sisterhood

Oh and this week I went to Texas and saw many of my beautiful friends and stayed with the gracious Pattersons. (Adam now adores Natalie and thinks being a mother is the highest calling) While I was there I went to see Kim who used to do my eyebrows and got them waxed after like 5 months. Almost cried...they are beautiful:) Ashley and Ben had their baby. (Ashley did the work) After 29 hours of labor Sloan Jeffery Washer showed up looking beautiful at 6lbs and 15oz. And we had our community group Thanksgiving. Another great weekend:)

Okay, well to be blogged out I sure did ramble...even though I swore I wouldnt...oh well, what can you do?

Til Later...
